The State Minister for Microfinance and Greater Masaka regional coordinator for the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Hon. Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, dedicated a week to mobilizing PLU supporters in the region.

The mobilization efforts began last Friday and covered areas like Kalangala, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo, and most recently, Lukaya council in Kalungu District.

As the regional coordinator, Mr. Kasolo is mobilizing supporters of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who leads the PLU, ahead of his planned visit to Greater Masaka on March 15, 2024.

According to Kasolo, General Muhoozi will address residents of Greater Masaka about national issues and the goals of the Patriotic League of Uganda.

During his speech in Lukaya yesterday, Mr. Kasolo encouraged residents to leave their cars and motorcycles at home on the day of the event. He urged them to show their support and appreciation for General Muhoozi by walking from Lukaaya to Liberation Square in Masaka City, where the Greater Masaka Bazaar will be held.

“For those who keep on asking me about who will represent NRM as Presidential Candidate in 2026, I will keep referring them to a football team that brings eleven on-pitch players and substitutes who might not play but when the team wins they win as both the on pitch players and the substitutes,” Hon Kasolo said. He went on to say that it is the reason why Ugandans should support President Museveni and his son General Muhoozi.

Hon. Kasolo further explained his point by comparing it to a parent who provides for their children, preparing them for the future and eventually taking on certain roles when the parent is no longer able.

Hon. Kasolo told the people of Kalungu and Lukaya that history will be made on March 15th.
