Leaders have been urged to be mindful of their utterances bearing in mind the fact that Uganda has a very young population that can be easily misled.
This follows growing concerns about threats reportedly made by the NRM Secretary General Justine Lumumba in Nsangi, Wakiso district that the government will shoot-to-kill anyone who dares protest against the outcome of general elections.
The Executive Director Women’s Democracy Network Perry Aritua says Lumumba’s statement was a complete departure from promises her Deputy Richard Todwong made on Friday last week as he received the peace candle on behalf of President Yoweri Museveni.
