The Police says the number of Kenyans crossing into Uganda has continued to grow with just hours to the general elections.
The police spokesperson Asan Kasigye has told journalists that by yesterday police had registered about 30 people crossing to Uganda in anticipation of possible chaos that might erupt during or after tomorrow’s elections.
He however, says security have been beefed up to maintain peace at the boarder points.
Meanwhile, all police officers deployed to ensure security during tomorrow’s polls have arrived at their respective stations.
According to the National Police Service over 150,000 officers drawn from the Kenya Police, the Administration Police, General Service Unit and Directorate of Criminal Investigations will help maintain order across the country.
National Police Service spokesman George Kinoti said all is set and has assured Kenyans of adequate security.
He adds that distribution of the police officers has been done with consideration of the perceived threats.
