Parliament has formed a seven-member committee to investigate the alleged rot and corruption in the Uganda Telecommunications Company.

The committee to be headed by Chwa West MP Okin Ojara, will have other members such as Busongora North’s William Nzoghu, Luwero Woman MP Lillian Nakate and Rubaabo County MP Paula Turyahikayo among others.

Parliament last week raised concerns after Budadiri West MP Nathan Nandala Mafabi blew a whistle exposing a multi-billion scandal in the telecommunication company.

The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga who has named the committee this afternoon has not mentioned when the committee will commence its work, but promised to issue its terms of reference later today.
