President Yoweri Museveni wants Ugandans who lost their lives and properties during the 1990-1994 Rwanda liberation war struggle compensated.

While commissioning a Pineapple wine factory at Maziba sub county Kabale district yesterday, the president said the Rwanda government whose army destroyed peoples’ lives has for long been adamant regarding compensation.

Museveni has now promised to remind the Rwandan president Paul Kagame about the compensation, promising that in the event that the Rwandan government fails, he would do it himself.

Thousands of people in the sub counties of Maziba, Buhara, Kamwezi, Kamuganguzi, Rubaya and Butanda that neighbor with Rwanda lost their properties while others lost lives during the Rwanda liberation war and have never been compensated.
