By Damali Mukhaye:

President Yoweri Museveni has promised that the government will cancel titles of private developers on the disputed land belonging to Makerere University.

This follows concerns raised by the newly installed Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe that Makerere has been burdened with legal battles over land ownership.

President Museveni has reiterated that no one should encroach on government land vowing to forcefully evict all encroachers.

He has also urged the university management to use the prime land the university has to generate income through private, public partnerships.
