Urban planners have welcomed a move by cabinet to approve the National Transport and Logistics policy .

The policy considered and approved by the cabinet recently will serve as the overarching policy and regulatory framework for all transport and logistic infrastructure and services.

It seeks to provide a safe, accessible and sustainable intermodal transport system to enhance Uganda’s competitiveness

Speaking to KFM, the chairperson of the National Physical Planning Board Amanda Ngabirano says this was long overdue however expressing optimistic that once effectively implemented in coordination with existing plans, it will help improve the sector.
