700 turn up for police recruitment in Kampala

The national police recruitment exercise has kicked off today in all regions of the country, primarily targeting police cadets.
500 police cadets are targeted across the country, with a minimum qualification of a degree, or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning.
From, Kampala metropolitan region, covering Wakiso and Entebbe municipality, recruitment was conducted at Kibulli police training school, with hundreds turning up for the exercise.
According to the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, over 700 people have been registered in today’s exercise though only 500 are to be recruited from across the country at the end of the three day exercise.
