The survey findings released yesterday showed that 57% of respondents predicted victory for Museveni compared to 21 % for NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi.

Releasing the results, Francis Kibirige from AfroBarometer said the electoral commission needs to do more to have confidence in the electoral process after less than 50% believed the polls will be free and fair.

The findings further showed that 62% of the respondents called for relaxing of enforcement of covi19 regulations while 37% said police were justified in using force to enforce the regulations.

The survey involved 2400 adults Ugandans who were interviewed between 22 December 2020 and 7th January 2021 in 300 enumeration areas across 110 districts.
