Gulu MPs concerned over constant power outages

A ruling on Kalungi’s appeal was expected today but Justice Lameck Mukasa has pushed to July fourth saying that it is not ready.

Kalungi is currently serving a 4 year sentence at Luzira prison after he was convicted by Makindye Magistrates Court.

He appealed both his conviction and sentence before the High Court saying the lower court did not properly evaluate the evidence hence arriving at a wrong conclusion.

However, the Director of Public Prosecutions insists that Kalungi should serve this sentence having been found guilty of delaying to take Nebanda to hospital, which resulted into her death.
