Speaking to KFM, Dr Ivet Chesson, the initiator of the Women’s Situation Room in Africa, noted that in most cases election violence is fuelled by the selfish long serving leaders who deliberately refuse to accept the will of the people.

She says they have had several engagements between the Eminent Women in the Situation Room with many of long serving African presidents and they promised to organise national dialogues to ensure violence-free transition of power.

Chesson says they are now watching them to ensure that the ring of violence in Africa caused by greedy politicians comes to an end.
