The Anti-Corruption Coalition has threatened to mobilize the community to shun the Members of Parliament who will receive the proposed vehicles for enhancing their security.

The coalition’s Executive Director Cissy Kagaba says government should abandon this proposal because the Ugandan taxpayer is already burdened by the hefty allowances paid to the MPs.

She warns that if government implements this proposal the community will be mobilised to shun those legislators who will accept the pick-up trucks and the said sharp shooters promised by the president.

Kagaba adds that procuring these vehicles for the legislators is not only discriminatory but will not help to solve the problem of security in the country.
