Senior Members of UPC have snubbed the ongoing National Council, called to foster reconciliation in the party.
The meeting that is being held at Christ the King church was called by party president Olara Otunnu to foster unity in the party.
The outgoing UPC Secretary General John Odit has rubbished the meeting as an illegal assembly.

All party members opposed to the Otunnu leadership have kept away from the meeting, leaving the quest for reconciliation hanging.
John Odit also queries the reported quest for reconciliation which he says cannot be led by one of the parties in conflict.
He says an independent party should have been enlisted to host the meeting.
Odit is one of the UPC leaders fired recently, though they have maintained that their sucking was illegal and that they are still the authentic office bearers.
Speaking during the meeting, Otunnu described his opponents as fraudsters.
He accuses them of betraying party interests and vows not to allow them make the same mistakes again.
