Two Mulago Hospital medical officers testified in a case where a couple lost a twin baby yesterday.

Dr. Nsenguyova Joseph and Nurse Mandida Mariam who allegedly attended to Jennifer Musimenta during delivery denied allegations that one of her twin baby disappeared in their hands.

Appearing before High Court Judge, Lydia Mugambe, they admitted that Musimenta delivered twins but one of them was delivered already dead and taken to mortuary.

The couple, Jennifer Musimenta and Michael Mubangizi earlier in February this year told Court that their twin baby disappeared in the hands of Mulago hospital immediately after birth on March 14th 2012.

According to the mother, in few hours after delivery, the hospital midwife informed her that one of the babies had died, but the body disappeared until March 17th 2012 when they were given a body which tested negative to their DNA.

The couple through Center for Health Human Rights and Development sued Mulago hospital and the Attorney General seeking orders compelling the duo to produce their baby.

The case has now been pushed to February 2016 to hear evidence from a mortuary attendant.
