Presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi says he wants incumbent President Museveni who he faces in the fourth coming polls in 2021 to retire respectfully and not go down like Bashir or Gadaffi.
Appearing on Morning at NTV show, Kyagulanyi known to many as Bobi wine says much as Museveni has done some good things, his time has expired.
Sudan’s Omar al Bashir was overthrown in a coup d’etat in April, 2019 while Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi’s government was overthrown in the wake of the fall of Tripoli to the rebel forces on 20 August 2011.
According to Kyagulanyi, there is need to have a new Uganda with a former president like Museveni advising the new generation.
“We want to live in a country where we have a resident former president, who is respected, whom we go to seek advice from. We want to have Museveni who is in his home in Rwakitura, who we take good care of,” added Mr Kyagulanyi.
Kyagulanyi meanwhile says more often, leaders in Africa do not want to leave power due to the fear of being persecuted and it is upon Museveni to clear his name.
