Ugandan soldiers in Somalia awarded

Defense lawyer Macdusman Kabega says they are challenging his clients’ trial with the ministry of public service officials.

He argues that the Bank is not an individual to be charged.

Meanwhile, eleven of the accused persons are facing fresh charges after the charge sheet was amended to include theft.

They include the former permanent secretary Jimmy Rwamafa, Cairo International Bank Managid Director Mohamed Tareq among others.

Nine of these have pleaded not guilty to the new charge.

They are accused of abusing pensioners’ money amounting to Shs. 165 billion.

The case has been adjourned to June 15th for mention.
