Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei is now a world championships silver medalist after coming second in the men’s 10,000m race at the last event of the opening day of the IAAF World Championships 2017 taking place in London, UK.
Cheptegei crossed the finish line only micro-seconds behind the track-career-ending Sir Mo Farah of Great Britain who took the gold.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s other representatives in that 10,000m race were Timothy Toroitich and Moses Kurong, who finished 14th and 18th respectively.
