President Yoweri Museveni has re-appointed Col. Shaban Bantariza as Deputy Executive Director Uganda Media Centre.

This has been confirmed by the government spokesperson also director Uganda Media center Ofwono Opondo.

Bantariza was first appointed as the deputy executive director at the Uganda Media center in 2013.

Four months later in July 2013 he was arrested charged and remanded to Makindye Military prison over allegations of fraud while still the director of National Leadership Institute (NALI)

Early this year court chaired by Maj. General Levi Karuhanga ruled that prosecution had failed to prove that the tractor was a donation from the Ministry of Finance.
