Buganda road magistrates court has issued an arrest warrant against city pastor Franklin Mugisha alias Pr Mondo who is wanted to answer charges of obtaining money by false pretense and conspiracy to defraud.

Mondo has on several occasions failed to turn up to court following various summons prompting prosecution to ask for an arrest warrant

His lawyers last time informed court that he had flown to South Africa for covid-19 treatment, however on their appearance today, they repeated the same narrative which was objected by prosecution .

Prosecution lawyers noted that Mondo’s lawyers failed to produce medical forms indicating his admission to the hospital.

The trial Buganda Road grade one magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu issued an arrest warrant against Mondo after being convinced by prosecution that the accused can only be compelled to court by the warrant.

Pastor  Mondo Mugisha is said to have conspired with Pastor Siraje Ssemanda and a lawyer Jimmy Arinaitwe for defrauding from their followers and fellow pastors of shs4.5billion claiming  to offer them scholarships and jobs abroad whereas not.
