While launching the findings from an opinion poll commissioned by Daily Monitor, the executive director NGO Forum Richard Sewakiryanga said the poll will help prepare voters for the important decisions.

He added that with only two years to the next general elections, such findings will empower Ugandans in choosing leaders they deem capable.

It will also check the trend of current leaders to ensure they serve their people better.

One of the key findings is that Ugandans favour Speaker Rebecca Kadaga to succeed President Yoweri Museveni.

Earlier, women in the civil society welcomed an opinion poll .

The Director of Regional Associate for Community Initiative Lina Zedriga says poll results clearly show that Uganda is ready for a woman president.
