This proposal is fronted by West Budama MPs Jacob Oboth and Fox Odoi.

Under the constitution currently, all independents MPs would lose their seats it they participated in party primaries.

Also to be debated are the electoral and other constitutional reforms that various stakeholders have been pushing for to guarantee free and fair elections come 2016.

The NRM caucus spokesperson Evelyn Anite says the Secretary General will present their roadmap to 2016.

The week-long annual retreat closes in tomorrow.
