Meanwhile at Katomi Kingdom Resort in Wakiso district where the other DP faction led by party president Nobert Mao is holding a national delegates conference, some electoral irregularities have already been cited by some members.

Some delegates claim their opponents are members of the electoral commission and so they do not expect a free and fair election.

However the party’s secretary General Matthias Nsubuga says everything is going according to plan and expects free and fair elections.

He says they are yet to examine the party reports from different areas before embarking on constitutional amendment.

He adds that the youth and women league positions will also be incorporated into the DP leadership system.
