Former Tanzanian President Ali Hassan Mwinyi has handed over the final East African Community Election Observers report to Dr. Richard Sezibera, the East African Community (EAC) Secretary General.

At the ceremony that took place in Tanzania’s capital Dar-es-Salaam, H.E Mwinyi said the observers were impressed with reputable patience and orderliness with which the voters conducted the February 18th elections.

He also says that the Ugandan election pose a number of good practices to be emulated by other countries.

The report which is yet to be handed to the Electoral Commission also consists of recommendations to streamline the electoral process in future.
