The opposition Forum for Democratic Change Party is also set conduct grass root elections in different regions across the country to fill party posts from village to district level.
Speaking at a weekly news briefing at the FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi, Mr.Dan Mugarura the Electoral Commission chief said they would be conducting grass root elections starting from April 15th, in  Teso, West Nile, Rwenzori and Bukedi regions in order to revamp and reconstitute its party structures.
Mr. Mugarura adds that the elections will be held concurrently for Youth, Women and other categories and said that the structures will determine who gets to stand for what position later on.
He however said that no specific date has yet been said for the party delegate’s conference in order to give ample time for handling any grievances that may arise out of the grass roots party elections.
