The opposition forum for Democratic change has postponed Christmas celebrations for this year over the presidential age limit removal plans.
Addressing journalists at the party headquarters in Najjanakumbi, the vice chairperson of eastern region Salaamu Musumba says that since the report for the bill has returned to Parliament today the country is yet to witness another sad moment of the constitution amendyjust like the term limits.
She notes that since majority of Ugandans are not happy about the way this issue has been handled, there is no need to celebrate when people’s rule and democracy has been ignored.
She notes that all FDC officials and well-wishers should not celebrate Christmas this year solidarity and to show their dissatisfaction to the government saying that they will celebrate their Christmas next year.
