The opposition Forum for Democratic Change has vowed to go ahead with its planned move to demand that the presidential hand shake money is refunded, in defiance of the Deputy Chief Justice’s interim order against the same.

Yesterday Justice Stephen Kavuma issued an interim order barring parliament from debating the 6 billion shillings scam arising out of President Museveni’s Golden Handshake to 42 lawyers.

The order came after FDC announced that, it’s working committee is set to meet today to formulate a document to be presented to Parliament seeking to recover Shs.6 billion.

The Deputy Secretary General Harold Kaija says the working will sit today as planned and continue with the process, condemned the government for always manipulating the law to block important investigations into allegations of abuse of public funds.

Since last week, the media has been awash with news of President Museveni authorizing the payout of Shs.6 billion to 42 government officials after the government won the Capital gains Tax case against Heritage and Tullow Oil, earning the country a total of Shs. 2.4 trillion.
