The opposition Forum for Democratic Change has extended an olive branch to all NRM members who may be dissatisfied with the outcome of today’s primaries.
The NRM today holds its Parliamentary, Local Council 5 and Mayoral primaries amid tight security after police mapped out several places where chaos is anticipated.
The Deputy Party Electoral commission chairperson, Michael Kabaziguruka say the events leading to todays’ process are a manifestation of intolerance to internal democracy and incompetence of the NRM structure to organize a free and fair election.
Kabaziguruka says since FDC has been tested in holding fair and peaceful internal elections, the NRM members have a better alternative in the opposition alternative.
