Kaboyo this morning pleaded to 4counts including abuse of office and making documents without lawful authority.

She is jointly charged with former ministers Jim Muhwezi, Mike Mukula and Dr. Alex Kamugisha who are alleged to have misappropriated money amounting to 1.6billion Shs that was meant for immunization of children.

Alice Kaboyo has admitted before the Anti-Corruption Court that she breached operational guidelines for private secretaries in State House as well as practices governing requisition of funds.

She confessed to having written a letter on 25th July 2005, requisitioning for 527 million Shillings, of which she received 250 million shs.

She told court that she wrote the letter without the approval of the Statehouse Principal Private Secretary as required and also falsely claimed to have made the requisition on behalf of former minister Jim Muhwezi.

Kaboyo says she is satisfied with the court’s sentence and will not appeal against it.

Hearing of the case against the 3 former ministers continues before the Chief Magistrate of the Anti-Corruption Court Irene Akankwasa.
