Buganda Road Court has granted bail to four students of Makerere University who were arrested on 8th November this year during a demonstration.
The students have been released by the Chief magistrate Jamson Karemani.
They have been released on a non -cash bail of 5million shillings and their eight sureties each ordered to sign a non-cash bond of 5million shillings.
The trial magistrate also ordered them to return to Court on 2nd December 2016 for the hearing to commence, after prosecution led by Emilly Ninsiima informed Court that police investigations into the matter are complete.
The four students are accused of participating in a demonstration advocating for re-opening of Makerere University.
The students are Paul Kato, Ronald Ainebyona, Edmund Kahigi and Crispus Waswa.
