A free yellow fever vaccination exercise organized by the National Medical Stores and the Ministry of Health resumes today at Kololo airstrip.
The campaign which started last week on Tuesday was earlier meant to last three days, but due to over whelming numbers of Ugandans who turned up for the exercise, the ministry decided to extend it to Friday.
Speaking to KFM earlier, the NMS General Manager Moses Kamabare noted that they vaccinated more than 60,000 Ugandans during the first exercise.
He explains that it is government policy that only people with national identification cards are allowed to access such free services.
According to the Ministry of Health and Civil Aviation Authority, all passengers traveling in and out of Entebbe International Airport are supposed to present proof of immunization against the disease but many do not comply.
