Government is asked not to dismiss Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebel leader Joseph Kony’s call for resumption of peace talks.

Early this week Kony issued a statement asking that fresh talks be held immediately and unconditionally, a move government has dismissed as a mere joke.

He however adds that to prove his level of commitment, Kony must stop committing atrocities against innocent civilians.
