The Judiciary has transferred 2 of its judges; Wilson Masalu Musene and John Wilson Kwesiga who have been heading the High court Criminal and Land divisions respectively.

The shake- up contained in an administrative circular dated 29th/November 2016  issued by the Principal Judge Yorokamu Bamwine, the also saw Justice Andrew  Bashaijja elevated to head the Land  division and Justice Elizabeth Kabanda who has been the caretaker judge of Mpigi High court returning to Criminal and Family  High court divisions.

Justice Musene who has been heading the Criminal division is vividly remembered for granting bail to suspects in high-profile cases such as; FDC former presidential candidate Dr Kiiza Besigye, former ISO coordinator Gen. David Sejusa, Former Kampala DPC Aaron Baguma and co- Murder suspect  Muhammad Sebufu on top of  clearing Kasiwukira widow; Sarah  Nabikolo of her husband’s murder.

Justice Musene has been sent to head new Mpigi High court and replaced him with justice Kwesiga from the Land division.

Mpigi , Iganga, Mubende, Tororo, Rukungiri, Hoima, and Luweero are the newly  created High court circuits to be added to the existing eleven.
