The hearing of a murder case against Mathew Kanyamunyu and others is expected to kick off this morning before the High Court in Kampala.

In December last year Kanyamunyu together with his girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and his brother Joseph Kanyamunyu appeared before Justice Steven Mubiru and denied murdering social worker Kenneth Akena in 2017.

Akenawas murdered on the November 12th 2017 along Kampala -Jinja road.

The trio is represented by a team of famous city criminal lawyers; MacdusmanKabega, Caleb Alaka and Evans Ochieng to defend them against the charges.

Prosecution states that Kanyamunyu who was driving along with his partnerMunwangari on the fateful night got into a quarrel with Akena whom he accused of scratching his car, shot him three times in the stomach and later played the Good Samaritan who rushed him to Novirk Hospital on Bombo road where he died shortly after arrival.
