Parliament’s appointments committee is set to meet on Tuesday next week to vet Sarah Kanyike, who has been nominated by President Museveni as the new State Minister for Disabilities and Elderly.
According to a July 23rd notice from the Clerk to Parliament to all members of committee, the meeting is scheduled for 10am, July 28th.
Kanyike’s nomination was confirmed in a communication to MPs on the appointments committee yesterday.
President Museveni had in May this year nominated Kanyike as Director for gender, community service and production in the new changes at KCCA that also brought Dorothy Kisaka as executive director, replacing Adndrew Kitaka who has acted since December 2018.
