Karamoja has been listed as number one among the top African destinations to visit in 2017 by Wanderlust Movement, a South African based blog inspiring South Africans to travel.

They say their list was compiled following consultations with several travel bloggers.

Speaking to KFM, the state minister for tourism Godfrey Kiwanda said Karamoja indeed deserved the rating because of its unique culture and this is another great opportunity for a country gifted by nature to shine.

This comes just days after Uganda’s Primate Lodge was listed among the top 19 Black Owned Hotels to Visit in 2017 by Essence a US based travel magazine.
