Rubaga south MP Paul Kato Lubwama has asked the High court to dismiss with costs an application filed by a voter seeking to file an election petition for purposes of ousting him from the 10th Parliament.

Kato  Lubwama through his lawyers of Nalukoola, Kakeeto advocates contends that the petitioner Habib Buweembo’s application doesn’t fulfill the necessary requirements to warrant court to extend time within which he can file an election petition.

Buwembo wants the High court to allow him file an election petition against MP Kato Lubwama whom he accuses of lacking an O ‘ level  certificate which is a basis of joining  A ‘level  and getting the corresponding certificate which is  the minimum  requisite  academic qualification for an MP.

However in his defence filed to uphold his victory, Kato Lubwama boasts of having higher academic qualifications such as a Diploma in Music Dance and Drama attained from Makerere University.

Justice Margret Oguli has fixed Monday the 31st/October 2016   to hear this application
