Two people are confirmed to have died in raging floods in Kasese district.

The floods have caused the massive displacement of residents in different areas.

According to ministry of health spokesperson Rukia Nakamatte, 195 patients have been evacuated from Kilembe Hospital after flash floods swept into the facility this morning.

Meanwhile, another river has burst its banks washing away a temporary bridge in Kasese district.

Nyamugasani River one of the four that over flooded in May last year has swept away the only bridge at Busasa Kyaruma.
