Kyambogo university will have a substantive Vice Chancellor by April 2017.
This has been revealed by The chairperson of theuniversity council John Okedi while addressing today’s congregation during the second session of the 13th graduation ceremony being held at the university.
Okedi said that the search for the new VC and appointment of other senior members had been delayed because of the court injunctions the university has faces.
He however said that the process for the search of the new VC is in gear and ongoing and by April, everything will be completed.
The appointment of the new VC was called off after the council failed to raise over three candidates to compete for the post as required by the law hence the new process had to be constituted.
Students from the faculty of arts and social sciences and Faculty of vocational studies are meant to graduate today with the overall number of over 7000 who are meant to graduate throughout the while process which kicked off yesterday and ends tomorrow
