Lectures at the campus have come to a standstill and the students say they will not return to the lecture halls until their concerns have been addressed.

The students are complaining that the filthy environment at the campus is affecting their performance since some of them have continued to miss lectures because of the small and dirty lecture halls.

They also say that they are being tortured psychologically by the delay in the release of the exam results because they still do not know if they passed or not, with another exam period just a few weeks away.

They are now asking the university management to urgently address their issues before the situation runs out of hand.

The University spokesperson Laurence blames the delay in release of exam results on the new central marking system which requires the results to be approved at various administration levels.

Mandete has also told KFM that the institution’s management is currently locked in a crisis meeting with the student leaders to forge the way forward.
