Giving a key note address at the Public Private Partnership conference that is underway in Kampala, Museveni said much as infrastructure is also a business, some of its elements are the ‘bone marrow’ of the economy which should be deliberated on carefully if the private sector is to fund them.

Museveni meanwhile says private developers in road infrastructure like the Jinja Expressway can charge any amount to recover their money but the same cannot be charged for Power and rail which are essential for goods production and transport.

The three day conference that has drawn expects in PPP projects from Africa, Europe and Asia is aimed at awakening government and the private sector spirit about the new market opportunities.
