The man identified as John Tukei reportedly strangled his wife following a domestic wow over denying him conjugal rights.

The Bukedi regional Police spokesperson, Sowali kamulya says the body of the deceased was found lying in a house.

He says the man had been threatening to kill his wife because she had run away and refused to return to his home yet he paid bride price.

The deceased had reportedly left her husband, accusing him of adultery, a claim he has not denied.

Kamulya identified the deceased as 22 year old Betty Atim, a resident of Apetete Village in Pallisa district.

The suspect who is currently detained at Pallisa Central Police Station is to be arraigned before courts to answer charges of murder after investigations are complete.
