Addressing the media earlier today, Mao said the Acholi and Madi people have for long peacefully coexisted arguing that a mere piece of land cannot cause such violence among them.

Mao claims there is someone fueling the violence among the two groups who is also having vested commercial interests.

Yesterday the UPDF spokesperson Brigadier Richard Karemire distanced himself from the Kilak north MP Gilbert Oulanya allegations that some UPDF soldiers dressed in civilian clothes participated in the clashes.

The Apaa conflict which started on 7th June 2017 has left 8 people dead so far and scores nursing wounds at Lachor hospital and Pabbo heath center.
