It is alleged that Ssebayinda waylaid the minor on her way back home dragging her to a nearby bush where he reportedly committed the offence.

According to the victims’ mother Rose Nayiga the victim had gone to her uncle’s home to help her in interpreting questions in the holiday package exercise.

She says that the victim came back home crying and could not freely walk telling her that Ssebayinda had sexually assaulted her.

Nayiga says that she reported the matter to police that responded by arresting Ssebayinda to help police with investigations into the matter.

The Southern Region Police Spokesperson Noah Sserunjogi has confirmed Ssebayinda’s arrest saying that police is going to take him and the victim to hospital fo,r HIV/AIDS examination to establish whether the minor also contracted the virus.
