This brings to 4 the number of patients who have been isolated for close observation at the Bombo military Hospital isolation unit.

The first case of Ebola was reported 16 days ago, claiming the life of 12-year old girl in Luwero district.

In a statement issued this afternoon, the Acting Director General of Health Services Dr. Anthony Mbonye says, the ministry continues to observe the 25 people who got into contact with the first victim but adds that no other cases have been confirmed.

He adds that additional medical supplies and personal protective equipment have been mobilized from partners.

Earlier, the ministry said the suspected case which had been reported in Bugiri district had been ruled out.
