Ssebagala is among the ministers that have been vetted today.

Sources in the Appointments Committee say several members questioned his credibility, given his criminal record and academic qualifications.

Sebaggala spent at least an hour before the committee compared to the average 5minutes which the other appointees spent.

However speaking shortly after the committee appearance, Ssebaggala insisted that he has got the necessary academic qualifications for his new appointment.

The same committee yesterday rejected the appointment of Henry Kajura as Public Service Minister given his advanced age, now at 77.

Vetting has been extended to tomorrow given the slow start it had yesterday.
