More reactions continue to stream in to the recent promotion of President Yoweri Museveni’s son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The latest is from the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Parliament, Mathias Mpuuga, who has condemned the move, saying it violates army conduct.

On Tuesday this week, Lieutenant-General Kainerugaba was dropped as Commander of UPDF’s Land Forces and promoted to full General, a day after his tweet about capturing Kenyan capital, Nairobi sparked a storm on social media, prompting a formal apology from his father, President Museveni.

Mpuuga now says the move has set a questionable precedence on promotions in the army.
