The lecturers under the Makerere University Academic Staff Association had resolved to strike today over delayed salary harmonization and clearance of their incentive arrears.

However, speaking to KFM, the chairperson of the association Muhammad Kiguddu says they have suspended their impending strike after the university management promised to present a report and recommendations from the salary harmonization committee on Friday.

He adds that MUASA will sit on November 17th and present the report to other members before forging the way forward warning that if the report is not convincing, they will go on with the strike.
