Makerere University senior management officials have been summoned for a meeting with president Museveni at state house Entebbe over various issues currently affecting the Ivory Tower.

Although the full agenda of the meeting is not known, the issues to be discussed include that of staff arrears which seem to be persistent despite efforts by government to release funds for the same at different times.

The meeting is scheduled for today but when contacted the Vice Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe said he was not aware about it.

The team that is expected to meet the president later today is reportedly led by the University Council chairperson Dr.Charles Wana-Etyem.
