Mulago National Referral Hospital has been dragged to the High court by a mother who claims that her baby went missing in the hands of the hospital staff on 26th /December/2015.

Fatuma Nakayima has sued the Executive Director of Mulago Hospital together with the Attorney General of Government, seeking orders that the hospital surrenders her baby dead or alive.

Nakayima argues that on the fateful date she went to Mulago to deliver, and after a caesarian section, she was told that her baby boy measuring 3.5kg had lived for a short while and died.

However to date she has never been shown the body, which prompted her to petition the Civil Society Organisation-CEHURD in April this year, that has tried to engage the Hospital Director for a response but in vain.

The case file has been allocated to Justice Patricia Basaza Wasswa for hearing.
