Mulago hospital is overwhelmed by the ever growing number of accident victims.

The hospital spokesperson Enock Kusaasira tells KFM that the hospital receives between 10-15 traffic roads accident cases daily, most of them in critical condition.

Kusasira says this has worsened the space challenge since most of the victims spend between two to three months at the hospital.

Kusaasira adds that they are currently stranded with four unknown patients that were knocked by hit-and-run vehicles and were picked up by police on New Year’s Eve.

He says a total of 34 patients were brought in with injuries sustained on New Year’s Eve. 27 of these were accident victims, 6 were cases of assault, while one had gunshot wounds.
